Ingredients
- 1½ cups mozzarella
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 1¼ cup almond flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- ½ cup of chopped bell peppers
- 2 tsp chile powder
- 2 tsp cumin,
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 3 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp allspice
- ¼ cup tomato paste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Chop onion and peppers and cook in 1 tbsp peanut oil until softened. Add in the ground beef and break up with a spoon. Add the chile powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder and allspice until meat is browned. Take off heat and let cool.
- Add cream cheese and mozzerella to a microwave safe bowl and heat in a microwave for 1 minute. Add the egg and mix well. Stir in the flour and mix until combined.
- Roll the dough mixture out flat to approximately ¼" thick. Use a bowl to cut circles in the dough.
- Place dough circles on a piece of parchment paper lined baking pan. Add a decent amount of the meat mixture to the circles and fold over pressing firmly on the edges. Using a fork will ensure that the edges are sealed.
- Cook at 425 degrees for approximately 12 minutes or until crust becomes golden brown.
